Dedicated to enriching the heritage of Ayurvedic knowledge and Marma Chikitsa which have been passed down for generations, we began our ceaseless endeavors in 2009, and today, spread our roots in service to the world from the town of Perumbavoor, in the Ernakulam district of Kerala, India. Our activities diverge into an all-encompassing sphere that includes the preservation of the priceless traditional knowledge passed onto us from time immemorial as well as the propagation and revival of a healthy way of living that is closely associated with nature and follows our precious ancestral wisdom that is in danger of being forgotten.

WHAT MOTIVATES US
With the motto "Ayurveda for World Peace" in mind, it is the goal and mission of Sree Swami Vaidhya Gurukulam to preserve and nurture the heritage of traditional Indian health and fitness sciences. This endeavor extends to the cultivation of intellectual pursuits that include classical dance, classical music, physical excercise and language arts.
All endeavors of the Sree Swami Gurukulam Trust can be broadly projected under four central tenets.

TREATMENT
“Marma for Karma”
At the forefront of all visions that make up the ideologies of every single participant in the activities of Sree Swami Vaidhya Gurukulam, is the treatment and rehabilitation of people suffering from various physical health issues that hamper their path to a fulfilling life. The focus is not on temporary remediation, but in gifting every single person to cross the threshold of the Gurukulam in their quest for relief, the knowledge to live their entire lives in health and self-awareness.

TRAINING
Knowledge is worthless when hoarded but priceless when distributed. The training programs at Sree Swami Vaidhya Gurukulam covers a wide variety of activities that are specialized according to the talents of the people who come forward to drive our vision ahead. The trainees at Sree Swami Vaidhya Gurukulam acquire skills and knowledge in a wide variety of subjects that include, but is not limited to, Ayurveda, Agriculture, traditional performance arts, the teachings of the Kalari and proficiency in various languages like Sanskrit. The central concern is originality development over personality development.

RESEARCH
Healing is always the fruit of constant research. Health lies in a constant search for what ails people and what is required to provide relief for these conditions. The research conducted by Sree Swami Vaidhya Gurukulam not only looks ahead, but also looks back at what has passed through generations to be prepared for what is to come. Apart from research into Health and Ayurveda, the research efforts also extend to cultural and historic studies that aim to preserve the true roots of dying arts and traditional practices. This thought is what defines Sree Swami Gurukulam as a true "Gurukulam".

AWARENESS
The first step towards healing is developing an awareness about one’s body. It is easy for someone who has understood their body to rectify any irregularities that affect it. It is to enforce this awareness that every person who comes to the Gurukulam for treatment has to first attend a discussion that would help them understand their bodies and their conditions. It takes concentrated effort to give something back to the people that they had conveniently forgotten. The awareness programs like Swasthavritham, Rithusangamam and Ayurnadanam serve to reassure the world that "Illness is not the end". They stand as beacon of hope to the ones who are suffering, to overcome the obstacles that keep health away from them.

SREEMUDRA KALA GURUKULAM
The central mission of Sreemudra Kala Gurukulam is the revival and propagation of
traditional physical arts forms that have started to fade from the mainstream consciousness.
These art forms, that were once the backbone of Bharatiya tradition and culture, are commemorative
of the times when a deep-rooted sense of collective well-being flourished within the social structures of
a civilization that marched the world ahead on the path of holistic well-being. This practice of physical
arts endorsed by the Sreemudra Kala Gurukulam includes, but is not limited to the practice of
Kalaripayattu, dance forms like Bharathanatyam and Mohiniyattam, among several others along
with strides towards enrichment of the mind through Carnatic Music and the art of the theatre. With
this mission in mind, Sree Mudra Kala Gurukulam has conducted several workshops and stage programs to
promote active participation in these art forms. "Thiruvathira Ravu", that has been held as an yearly event
twice so far, presents a spectacularly varied gathering of enthusiasts of the Thiruvathira Dance belonging to
all age groups.
Ayurnadanam is the light of pride for Sree Mudra Kala Gurukualam. It was
devised as an ayur-motivational program, inspired by the sheer number of dancers who sought treatment
for various health problems at Sree Swami Vaidhya Gurukulam. Ayurnadanam was created to open a
new vista in the lives of these dancers, who had once given up any hopes of being able to return
to the stages that were so beloved to them. Ayurnadanam is their new beginning -
a second "arangettam" to their passionte relationship with dancing.

ILANKAM – THE KALARI OF CULTIVATION
The Ilankam (Kalari) of Sree Swami Vaidhya Gurukulam is a space that gives immense importance to the holistic development of a community and person, alongside physical exercise and maintenance. The tradition followed at Ilankam is ‘Pulluvazhi’ or ‘Chengannooradi’. Unlike the syllabus of other Kalaris, the learning tradition of Pulluvzhi is not that of the art of warfare. Each member of Ilankam learns about farming, livestock care, languages like Sanskrit, English and Tamil, Bharathanatyam, classical music, treatment methodologies and research into ayurvedic medicines. These topics are then delved deeper into based on personal preferences. As a residential Kalari, all members live together and learn practical lessons on self-sufficiency, cooperation and sustainable living.

NIVEDHYAM – GURUKULAM’S CENTRAL KITCHEN
The first step to a healthy life is healthy eating habits. The food cooked at Nivedhyam is made using locally sourced, organically grown ingredients and prepared in the traditional ways of Kerala’s domestic food habits. The central mission of Nivedhyam is to ensure that healthy food is available for anyone who visits the Gurukulam at any time of the day. The dietary requirement of every guest is evaluated, and the diet is created by an expert dietician. No compromises are made in ensuring that healthy food that is satiating to all is delivered every time.

GOSHREEPURAM
Goshreepuram was the name given to a project that aimed at protecting indigenous breeds of cattle without any objective of creating a profit. What stated as small cattle-shed housing has now grown to a large area that affords peaceful grazing space to over 100 cattle of various indigenous Indian breeds. This project was the outcome of an effort to create a protective measure for our domestic species pool that was facing severe danger from invasive foreign breeds.

SREE VAIDHYANATHAM RASASHALA
Dedicated to extensive research and the production of medicines used by Sree Swami Vaidhya Gurukulam for treatments. All plants used in making medicines are collected by hand from places where they are seen naturally following the protocols for sustainable collection dictated by ayurveda. These are then carefully processed, making sure that all necessary methods are followe to completion, without taking any shortcuts in preparation.
